This resort is so good for families with small kids!! Here's my experience: My family (2 adults and 2 kids ages 2 and 4) decided to book with family concierge and stayed from a Sunday to Friday end of August (so towards the end of peak summer season). We also traveled with another family and my parents who did not book through reserve or family concierge. I'll comment with some of the perks of family concierge. Is Family Concierge worth it? We think so and would not book without family concierge for a future stay, but we value convenience and extra service/attention. Here is my why: 1. Food access: I'm not a huge fan of buffets. Having access to the Lunchbox for breakfast was excellent. You also get access to a little mini buffet in the family concierge lobby with some cold sandwiches, muffins, mimosas, candy, other snacks. We ate at one of the sit down restaurants (both on the adult side and the family side) every night. I found the food at the sit down restaurants to be incredibly good. 2. The actual concierge. Having someone that can help modify reservations and make confirmations for transfers, book your tours/spa etc was very helpful. Plus, our concierge did several super cute surprise activities for my kids in the afternoons. My kids were absolutely thrilled by them. Made for very cute memories. 3. SAL restaurant which is on the adults side was included with family concierge and absolutely delicious, as well as access to parts of the spa which was so relaxing. We had our kids attend the kids club while we attended these activities. More on the kids club later. 4. Cenote tour included with family concierge was amazing. We did take our 2 and 4 year old who were scared of the cold water and a little of the cave but overall loved it. You also get access to a zip line into one of the cenotes (my 4 year old tried but then chickened out, he got scared so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an adventurous kid who is a good swimmer). Some additional comments and tips not related to family concierge: 1. WATER PARK. The water park is awesome for kids ages infant to pre-teen (depending on adventure level). Teenagers who are used to large water parks and thrilling rides may be bored. My 4 year old did every slide. I enjoyed the slides as well. The splash pad at the water park was fantastic for a worry free experience with 2 toddlers. There is also an infant pool in couple parts of the resort. 2. Kids club. My 2 and 4 years olds loved the kids club. We were worried about getting a spot for our 2 year old as they can only take 4 kids ages 1-2 at a time, but were able to get a spot by ordering room service for them to eat dinner 5pm and dropping them off at 6pm sharp when they opened for the evening hrs. 3. Treats. The ice cream at the resort and the marquesita stand were sooooo good. There's also candy, cookies and other treats in the lobby. Definitely treats we'll miss. All in all, I found the resort to be a luxury resort with very friendly staff, great service perfect for a great family vacation, especially with small kids!
